Data analysis for the Office for National Statistics (ONS)

We are included in the list of preferred suppliers for ONS under their Statistical Consultancy Arrangement and have undertaken several pieces of work with the Locally Held Administrative Data (LHAD) Project.

ONS has played an important part in the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy by providing data on small areas from a number of government sources, on a coherent basis.  To this end, the Neighbourhood Statistics (NeSS) website has been developed.  The LHAD team was charged with identifying relevant administrative data held by a variety of organisations such as Local Authorities, Defra, the Registry Trust and other agencies.   Our work for the LHAD project included:

  • Analysis of small-area data on childcare
  • Early years education, debt, anti-social behaviour and flytipping
  • Preparation of datasets for inclusion on the Neighbourhood Statistics website
  • Review of datasets with respect to their suitability for inclusion on the website
